For authorities to cover up such a heinous act of malevolence was ruthless in the extreme’. Such was an excerpt directed at the inquiry that followed which gripped the Australian public.
The pure insanity of these poor souls, forced to sit in their factory and wait! All the government would say is ‘The six men inside had a choice, move state to continue their trade or be made redundant and wait out six months until their severance payments were cleared’.
But they failed to mention a phone call.
After six long and arduous months of waiting, this call advised that their pending money was to clear within a fortnight, and also informed of the mass sackings within the six sister workshops statewide. They were then advised of a new man to join them and see out the last fortnight.
But something went horribly wrong. “This man was placed in an environment he should not have” some have said.
