Oddly enough there came a point when Martin was studying drama & freelancing as an illustrator to pay his way, where he would be storyboarding commercials one week and auditioning for them the following week. He got into the subconscious pattern of whenever his age bracket character came up, of having the  ‘Artists Interpretations’ look as much like himself as possible!
